Several Newbie Questions Regarding Auctioneer

[:1]A few months back I wanted to start making money via the Auction House, therefore I installed Auctioneer. At the time, having never used any Auction addons before, the vastness of Auctioneer just put me off and I was getting confused/frustrated because I didn't know what I was doing. I therefore uninstalled Auctioneer and went with Auctionator instead which can't do as many things as Auctioneer, but was fairly simple to use.

Anyway, now a few months later, I've decided to go back to Auctioneer and learn how to use it properly. I've got some questions though and would appreciate it if they could be answered:

- In the tooltip when hovering over items ingame, I have: Market Price, Suggestion, Undercut & Moving Price. I take it Market Price is the average price it sells for, and Suggestion is what I should do with the item right? OK, but what about Undercut & Moving Price? For example, at the moment on 1 of my items (as shown in the screenshow below) Undercut says "Competition Above Market" and Moving Price says "6%". What do these mean exactly?

- Also on the "Undercut" bit in the tooltip, it often says "Can't Undercut" but then when I post the auction on the Auction House it DOES undercut, so I don't understand why it's saying it can't.

- In the main Auction House window, what exactly does PCT mean? The section where you have percentages such as 41%, 63%, 85% etc and they're all in different colours (Blue, Green, Orange, Yellow, Red)

- An annoyance I found is that since installing Auctioneer, I'm unable to link the correct item from the Auction House to /2 etc. For example, let's say I went to link some Borean Leather, it wouold infact link Frostweave Cloth or something else that I have on the Auction House instead. I think this is perhaps due to the fact that the Auctioneer window isn't positioned exactly where the ingame Auction House window is, therefore it's not linking what I ask it to. Is there any way around this

- And finally, somebody suggested to me that a good way to make money off the Auction House and to "play" it is to do the following:

Quote:

"Start by trading low-level high-volume trade goods (copper/tin/iron/mithril/thorium, light-medium-heavy leather). If the current lowest price of these goods is lower than average (e.g. <75%), buy it. If the current price is higher (e.g. 125%), sell your stuff at average price or just below. If the current price is very high (200%+), someone is trying to monopolize the market (buy all and sell for a high price). Punish him by posting your stuff 20% below his price so he needs to buy you out, and go out and mine/skin/herb as much as you can. "

Is this good advice, and if so, what exactly do I base those % numbers off? Moving Price (shown on the item tooltips) or PCT (shown in the main Auction House window)?

Many many thanks in advance guys, this will help me immensely if I can get some help with this.
