Spanish translator mod

I'm trying to find out if anyone knows any mods that will translate quest information into spanish for my fiance who only speaks spanish.

Please help, she really wants to play the game with me but can't because she does not understand what is going on.|||From IGN news:

March 1, 2006 - Blizzard announced plans today to create a localized Spanish-language version of World of Warcraft in Europe, where it's currently available in English, French and German. Since the European launch in February 2005, the game has amassed over one million subscribers in that region. Blizzard operates a 450-person operation there with representatives of 22 nationalities, and it is their largest office next to the headquarters in Irvine, California. This new version will have a dedicated Spanish-speaking in-game customer support, offline support, and an official website, and it will be localized in-house.

Don't think there is a Spanish translator mod though.|||Are you Eu or US?

If you are an EU player you can download a spanish languge pack to convert the game into spanish.

http://www.wow-europe.com/es/downloads/elp/

If you are a US player then they dont support any language other than English.|||I am in US so I guess I'm just screwed.|||Try contacting support. Although there may be no official Spanish pack for the US client, they may be able to find a way to make the Spanish pack work with the US client, if such is possible. And if not, then it's still worth it, as the more requests they get for this (if they get any at all), the more likely they are to implement it.|||I'm interested in the translation. If you need, let me know. You can put it on this thread. I will translat for you. spanish translator

ORA2 Set MT with macro

Is it possible to set the MT's in ORA2 with a macro? IE I target the tank in my raid and push the macro and it sets the MT. I have a couple of tanks in my guild with goofy characters in their names and its a pain to have to input them.

ive got

/ora mt set ??

I tried pretty much everything i can think of in the ?? but I cant get it to take my target as an input.|||just rightclick on their Raid frame go down to Main Tank -> Set Main Tank #X easy.|||Quote:

I dont use raid frames i heal so i use healbot|||u means healers actually use healbot to help them heal... lol|||Target the player.

Hover the icon for ORA2 so the MT list pops up.

Move your mouse over MT1 in the list.

Click.

Done.|||Quote:

The command line instruction runs like this:

Code:
/ora mt set (tank number) (player name)

So that means that to set, say Joefoo as your second MT, you would use

Code:
/ora mt set 2 joefoo

If you always use the same MTs, there's no reason not to macro them onto one button. I think that you can also use "none" as a name to clear the tank slot.

One thing -- I'm doing this from memory, so I may have transposed the tank number and player name (the name may come first.) If it doesn't work the first way, try the second.

Auctioneer???

I am starting to make some gold now with my potions and gems I am creating. I was also looking in the Mod section for an auction mod and the only one I know of is Auctioneer but I can not find it. Can someone point me in the right direction. It does not have to be fancy, just something that can fetch me a good price for my auctions. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for a point in the right direction. I will let ya know how it turns out.|||I use auctionator rather than auctioneer. Not sure of any main difference, but their both easy to use and auctionator has made quite a bit of cash for me by taking the current price and slightly undercutting so my gathering profs are making cash fast.|||Quote:

That's what Auctioneer used to do as well, before the patch. I just plemped an item on and it would immediately give me a suggested starting bid/buyout. It no longer does this, and I've no idea if it's still possible and what I'm supposed to change in the configuration then - I'm not entirely stupid, but the new Auctioneer configuration really confuses me.

If Auctionator does set a price for you, then I might just switch. I found that my bank toons are getting clogged with auctionable items that I'm just not selling because it's such a pain to put them on the AH.|||I found autioneer pack difficult to get my head around with the new gizmos and bean counters etc (the older version was more user friendly), and I was running auctionator before the latest patch. Just found it easier to use and it does suggest the prices, allow mulitple same item sales and checks for "of the..." items if yours is not shown.|||I don't think you guys have been using Auctioneer for quite some time now, cos the current version allows you to select a "classic auctioneer" view.

So I used the classic auctioneer, then wen auc-advanced came out I also thought it was quite a change, but after some time you will come to realize (like I did) how MUCH better the auc-advanced really is! It allows you to set auction lists, hide those things that you don't wanna sell so you wont put it on the ah by mistake, auto scans currents ah prices on the items you have on your ah selling list (instead of scanning the entire AH that can take up to 10min in crowded servers) and automatically puts all your auctions in the pre-defined stacks and prices with a click of a button (actually a click on 4 buttons at once :P )

I strongly recommend that if you put more than 20 items in the ah at a time then the auc-advanced is a must, yes it a bit more complicated but it has tooltips for everything it does, so just read them the 1st few times and then you will get the hand of it

Is you do not sell on the AH, and what you want is something that tells you if that price is right or not, then, any "average price" addon will do just fine.|||Quote:

FYI, I have just updated Auctioneer again last week, after having downloaded it immediately after the patch - just hoping for a change in the post-patch version, so that it'd work like it used to. I know of the Classic view, but that doesn't mean it is the Classic version.

My main issue is that the user friendliness of the Classic version is now gone, and that I'm stuck with everything that annoyed me about the Advanced one. I have studied the configuration, but I can't figure out how to set things to my wishes. It keeps scanning whenever I'm browsing items, which is a pain on my slow computer. Whenever I put up an item, it sets a starting bid of vendor x 3 and no buyout, while the Classic version would give me a suggested bid/buyout. Before, I could always see in an item's tooltip what its suggested value was, but now I see a whole list of crap and instead of a quick glance I now have to stare at my tooltip to try and figure out which of the given numbers is the value. All of that just irks me.

I don't need to have a filter for certain items, because I'm not so stupid that I put up stuff I don't want to sell. I don't want a nifty tool putting up a dozen auctions at a time, because I'd rather do it manually and keep control over it myself. But what I do want, is that when I put up an item I only have to click "submit", and that I can scan whenever I want to and not on other moments, and that I have a neat tooltip with an indication of what it's worth. And from what I can see in the configuration right now, Auctioneer doesn't offer that anymore. If it does then I'd be happy for a step-by-step howto with visual aids, but otherwise I'd probably try out other addons. Pity, really, because I've always loved the Classic Auctioneer.|||Quote:

I find Auctioneer (Advanced or its version of Classic) rather tedious to use and not a patch (little joke there) on the one available about two post-patch versions ago. I have a whole array of items that look like they're overpriced but when I check turn out to be quite reasonable. And I'm tired of being told 'no data available for XXX' when it's something commonly seen on the AH. All in all, neither version is working satisfactorily despite doing many scans, and I think when I do a major overhaul of my addons today I will look for something else to try. Very disappointing....|||Ok lets not flame over this.. No one said you were stupid to sell thins you do not want m8. But if you consider that Auc-Advaced lets you auction all your items in the bags with a click of a button, or if like me, you sell the same stuff everyday and don't wanna search for it in the bags (before this patch I walked around with 3 sets of gear -DPS, Healing and PVP- and all kings of raid consumables) to post them one by one just like you want, then hiding your gear and other stuff from the sectable list is a good thing.

About the tooltips, yes they are in general more confusing (have more info) and if you don't like all that info just go to the addons preferences and change it.

If you don't like the "scan wile searching items" just disable it.

Check the "post" tab.

I'm not an auc-advanced flag carrier of anithing but I've been using it for more than 2 years and I think one should respect the authors work and at least give it a try, and I say this cos they listen to some of the users and implemented the classic auctioneer options back (besides having supported the previous version of auctioneer and the current at the same time).

I'm not at home so a step by step config help can only be posted in a few hours (not with images thow, cos since ur not stupid you will get it easily with text only ;) ) But in the meanwhile you can go here for any questions http://wiki.norganna.org/AucAdvanced

Can't make auction macro work - help needed please

I've been reading up on macros and want to apply the one which identifies bargains on the AH when I'm using auctioneer (just loaded that last night).

I see on several threads on here after searching that what I want is:

/auctioneer broker 500

(the 500 being whatever margin in seilver you're looking for).

I've made a macro key okay with the command above and loaded the key onto my toolbar at the bottom of the screen, but when I use it nothing happens at all - I thought it was supposed to give me lots of information in the dialogue box.

Is there anything that should be in the macro text before the bit above, or any other tips? Or is there something else I have to do for this to work?

There's an awful lot of assumed knowledge required when starting of in WoW!|||I guess current Auctioneer does not support that. Those threads refer to the pre WOTLK Auctioneer i suppose, there were major changes in how it works.

But i might be mistaken :)

Does it work when you type it in the chat without using macro?

Did you scanned AH before trying to find bargains?|||Still seems to do nothing.

Is that facility not available any more ?|||That is not working anymore.

Go to Auctioner wiki and read instructions, there is too much stuff to explain here. http://wiki.norganna.org/Auctioneer|||I was discovering that from another thread - but thank you for confirming.

Carbonite Quest?

I'm posting this for a guildie of mine.

Apparently the authors are now charging for this mod... Is this true? and is there any free versions still available?

Is it even legal for them to charge for a modification to a program that they don't own.

I don't use the mod myself thankfully|||Quote:

There is a free version, and a pay version.

The free version works fine.|||you wouldn't mind sharing where the free version is would you? I was on the website, and they say that there are no free versions currently available.|||Quote:

It was, until a few days ago. Today, however, things are different : Blizzard's UI Add-On Development Policy.

This means the death of addons such as QuestHelper (according to the author himself), Outfitter (which will soon be replaced by Blizz's own Equipment Manager anyway) and most likely Carbonite as well (which appears to be, if any, the addon to blame in this case).

I think it's a good idea (although there's a sense of dictatorship in it as well). The majority of the people using QuestHelper, that I've met, seemed to be unable to do anything without it and completely despaired the days following a big patch.|||It is still legal. It's just against Blizzard policy.

Very stupid move btw. Those addons required a lot of work on the addon makers part, work they should be allowed to charge for. I can see some lawsuits flying.|||Everyone is still waiting on Blizzards response, it may very well go to Court.|||Quote:

i dont see anything here that would indicate that carbonite is no longer working.|||Quote:

I agree with you that there's nothing there to suggest that Carbonite isn't working but part one of the policy could well put an end to Carbonite very quickly:

"1) Add-ons must be free of charge.

All add-ons must be distributed free of charge. Developers may not create "premium" versions of add-ons with additional for-pay features, charge money to download an add-on, charge for services related to the add-on, or otherwise require some form of monetary compensation to download or access an add-on. "

As Carbonite has two versions (the quest version which is free and the full version which they charge for) I think Blizzard have made it fairly clear what they are trying to achieve.|||Quote:

it may very well go to Court.

Well, many things can GO to court. But, blizzard has the right to control their game as they see fit.|||Quote:

Exactly. And, guys, don't get too worked up over this. How many add-ons are there that actually charge? And why the hell would you use them? Questhelper: Craptastic. Carbonite: Craptastic. Outfitter: When did it start charging? Haven't used it in a while.

You want a leveling guide? One word: James. You want co-ords, a nice arrow to point the way (love it myself)? Cartographer and Lightheaded. Other than that, what is so useful an add-on that it's worth paying for? In all honesty this affects barely 1% if that much of the add-ons that are popular. I mean, did you LIKE having ads displayed to you in a game? It's not only an annoyance but CAN be a security risk.

Like it has been said, this is Blizzards game, and really, they're doing us a favor by not allowing people to charge to actually USE the add-on. Asking for donations still has the green light, and if people like the add-on enough and it works good enough, the donations will come.

The Name Eludes Me

Ok, the main problem is Macaroon - Whenever I go to the trainer and update my spells, Macaroon does not recognize that I have, and I have to manually go through the "You have learned a new spell "insert spell here"" list, and go through my spell book to find them . Now, I used to have an addon that would show me all the new spells I had just purchased and display them in a little bar somewhere on the screen, and allowed me to drag them to my action bar from it . Does anyone remember the name of this addon? Or , alternatively, is there a way to make Macaroon automatically update my spells to the newest/highest rank? Any help greatly appreciated, thank you.|||Learning Aid|||Quote:
