Anybody know how to update this?

Hello all! I am looking for somebody that knows how to update addons to work with the new version of WoW. This addon is very old but I believe people will LOVE it if it came back.. I do know some LUA but I am not sure at all how to update it. =/

The addon I am talking about is called 'SinsMod - Circular Unit Frames'

The addon looks like this: http://wowui.incgamers.com/uploads/1146184671MyUI3.jpg

At the top where the players health bar is circular.. That is what I am looking for.. Does anybody know how to update this?

You can download the old version here: http://dl.qj.net/pc-gaming/mmorpg/wo...-frames-a.html

EDIT: I REALIZE THE LINK ABOVE IS NOT FROM CURSE OR WOWUI.. HOWEVER, IT IS SAFE! I CAN POST THE VIRUS SCAN IF YOU WOULD LIKE!

* "This is a set of custom profiles for Discord Art and Discord Unit Frames (with the mods included) that I created for my own personal use, but have released due to numerous requests. It started with Drathal's Discord HUD and evolved from there, so he gets all the credit for the original code.

Discord Art, Discord Unit Frames, Discord Library and MobHealth2 are included in the ZIP file. Note that Discord Art is modified slightly to expand the texture limit, so make sure you copy it over even if you already have it installed.

Once installed, the profiles can be loaded by typing /dart and /duf to bring up the Discord Art and Unit Frames panels respectively, and loading the 'Custom' profile under Misc Options. Make sure you create a new profile afterwards, or any changes you make will not save.

If the target frame does not show up on your screen, adjust your UI scale down in the video options, move it, then readjust the scale back to your original setting.

The action bars pictured are Discord Action Bars, but are not included in this release due to being highly Warrior-specific and having other mod dependencies."|||nobody?

-filler-|||Well I've never seen that one before but you can try and see if its on Curse or the sorts and if it is either check to see if theres an update through Curseclient, if not maybe find the author of it and contact him through message or whatnot, if you have done that then srry I couldnt help..|||I believe Chaos Frame Modifier (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info13548) is what came out of Discord decomposition.

The spiritual successor to Discord Frame Modifier.

oUF (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9994) and its multitude of custom layouts (http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info9994#optional) are the current unit frame of choice for extreme customization ability.

Check those two places out for something along the lines of what you're looking for, or present the idea and ask for help to make it.

The probability of someone reviving DART and DUF is between 0 and 0%.|||Quote:

While DART is for the most part dead, DUF does have a spiritual successor called Stuf Unit Frames (http://www.wowinterface.com/download...nitFrames.html. Stuf works much like the old DUF used to however it does not have anywhere near the resource hit (CPU/RAM) that DUF had in part to cleaner code under the hood. Stuf is also friendly with with AddOns such as SharedMedia, LibHealComm (estimate healing for you healers), and other mods. Yet it is just as flexible as the old DUF with it's own tagging system (or you can use LuaTexts). It's config is a Load on Demand GUI so once you get your layout set up, the config can be shoved aside and not take up any CPU usage.

oUF is also extemely flexible however for most users who want to create a custom layout (as opposed to using a premade layout) oUF has a steep learning curve as all layouts have to be created in Lua so some knowledge of Lua is needed. There are a couple of layouts that offer a GUI config (Lunar, oUF_Niyava, oUF_Smee), however what can be done with those GUIs is rather limited. On the plus side, once you do get your oUF layout completed, oUF is very resource friendly. In addition, there are a number of plug-ins that add additional functionality (so if you don't want them, you don't have to use them) such as LibHealComm support, GCD support, etc.

It would not be difficult to import those textures from that old DUF layout and use them with Stuf or oUF. I have used Stuf to create some rather interesting UF layouts.

If you need to place additional part panels on screen (ala DART), then you have the option of kgPanels or LitePanels. Both are quite flexible however kgPanels is the more user friendly as it has a Load on Demand GUI while Lite Panels is Lua only.
